While Nourify® PLUS has trace amounts of heavy metals, we take great care in ensuring that the heavy metal count is as low as possible.
It’s important to understand that all fruits, vegetables, and plant-based ingredients naturally contain trace amounts of heavy metals. This is because elements such as lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury are naturally present in soil, water, and air, and plants absorb them through their roots as part of normal nutrient uptake.
While it’s impossible for any plant-based ingredient to be completely free of naturally occurring heavy metals, the key question is how much? That’s where The Previnex Difference stands out.
Unlike many brands that source their protein from China, where soil contamination and pollution are more common, we source our pea protein from an organic farm in Canada and our brown rice protein from high-quality farms in Southeast Asia. The protein blend in Nourify® PLUS is composed of 80% pea protein and 20% brown rice protein.
We maintain some of the strictest internal specifications in the industry for allowable heavy metal content. Our goal is to ensure that any additional exposure—beyond what you naturally get from fruits and vegetables—is kept as low as possible.
All heavy metals in our products are tested in parts per million (PPM), and to meet our stringent quality standards, they must all test below 10 PPM.
For reference, the lead level in Nourify® PLUS is just 0.092 PPM, and when you combine all naturally occurring metals from both protein sources, the total heavy metal content is 1.098 PPM, well below our specification of <10 PPM.
If you’d like a copy of the heavy metal test report, we’d be happy to share it. Please contact our Customer Care team at customercare@previnex.com.
